HOUSEOFTHOMAS is so excited to announce foundation of More Than Just Alive, Inc.! Founded and managed by Gene and Kelly Parkin, Robbie's very close and dear friends, this ministry is a mission we as a band are proud to endorse!

Love is the Mission- we want to be more than just alive!

The Parkin family has been doing mission work in Haiti and Honduras since 2013. In May of 2016, Gene left his full-time employment to become a full time missionary to Haiti. Since that time, with partnerships with Crossroads Church of Douglasville, World Harvest Missions, Impact for Jesus, Team Haiti 4 Jesus and countless friends and family, Gene was able to accomplish great things for the Kingdom of Christ. Some of those accomplishments were:

• Delivered over 1,000 lbs of food to local orphanages through regular monthly donations of Crossroads partners
• Planned and built 27 churches in the Pestel region
• Spent 4 weeks throughout the year, hiking into remote areas to consult with local pastors and presenting the gospel
• Worked with local contractors to get estimates for church builds
• Purchased all materials and premade trusses for church buildings
• Delivered materials along with local pastors and community leaders
• Raised over $50,000 in support of the building of churches
• Helped rebuild over 100 houses that were damaged in Hurricane Matthew in Oct 2016
• Distributed over 30,000 lbs of food throughout Hurricane ravaged area of Pestel
• Purchased and delivered 674 water filters and buckets though out 10+ village
• Assisted in the establishment of Crossroads Haiti Scholarship Program to provide an education to children from New Life Children's Home

In May 2018, the Parkins felt it was time to create a non-profit to raise the funds needed to support their work and special projects in Haiti and Honduras. Having been close friends and supporters of House of Thomas, for many years, the song More Than Just Alive had always stuck out to them. We believe that Jesus came not only to bring us eternal life, but also for us to have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10...i.e. be More Than Just Alive! So, after discussions with the guys from House of Thomas, More Than Just Alive, Inc was born. We are very excited to see what God does with this organization and how He uses us to help others. The organization is in it's infancy and more information will be coming soon on how YOU can be a part of it.

We believe that Christ came to give us life and for us to live it more abundantly...to be More than Just Alive.

We are charged to love, witness, disciple and serve others.

We will fulfill our mission by attending to others through service and discipleship.
